Mr.BadStyle). The whole scene looked rather ominous as a storm gathers over head and a light rain starts to come down.
>But even with such poor weather, the mission could not be delayed. It was now or never.
>Ugh. He HATED rain. His longcoat got soaked through and then he was left in a damp coat. If he took it off, he exposed his body to the elements, but if he kept it on, he was cold and wet. What's a guardsman to do?
>Still, he had a meeting.to go to. And damned if he was gonna miss out.
>Abris Phinn waits at the rendevous point, long coat wrapped tightly around him and a hand attempting vainly to shield him from the shower. Yes, he'd gotten here a little early, so it was probably his own stupid fault, but JUSTICE was to be done! Who could blame him for being a little antsy?

Officer Phinn, good to see you made it.
>She didn't doubt that he'd come, but there was always a possibility that some unfortunate thing could happen to him before he got here or something like that. >Now all they needed to do was wait for Lei. But for now, Abris was stuck with this person who very much embodied their namesake.
>Oh, it was the sneaky one. The one who didn't show anyone their face.
>Abris stared at the cloaked figure for a bit, unsure really of what to say. He couldn't really have much of a conversation with somebody that he didn't know anything about...Still, he'd try nonetheless.
Oh hey, uh...Shade, was it?
>He wipes some of the rain water away from his head with the damp arm he was using to shield himself, providing an excellent demonstration of a pointless action
'Course I was gonna show up! Can't exactly chicken out of this thing after I promised to do it, huh? Gotta make the guard look good in front of you Guild types.
>He puffs up slightly, expression not quite turning to it's usual smug because of how wet and miserable he was.
Bah! If you're scared of a little rain, maybe you should go home! It's not gonna stop me from kicking ass and taking names!
>He grins, his arms proudly finding their way to rest against his hips in a display of 'sooo cooooool.' It doesn't last however as the rain starts flattening his hair against his skull and Abris looks distinctly annoyed before raising them both to shield him once more.
Besides, this has gotta go well! I've got a lot riding on it!
Not so much the rain as what it symbolizes. In my culture, storms like this are harbingers of misfortune and demise at the hands of one's foe.
>Looking down the alley, they hear's foot steps coming towards them and sees a long streak of vibrant red among all the grey.
Hopefully such things will happen to our target and not to us...
>After those words, Lei approaches the two with a smile and a wave.
Ready for go?
>The sniper didn't seem bothered by the rain at all, she was use to being in such horrid conditions for long periods of time. Being a sniper wasn't always a glamorous job.
>Abris' mood immediately brightens upon the sight of Lei
Hey!
>He waves back cheerfully, the grin spreading back to his face as he taps a hand against his trusty wooden sword.
Ready as I'll ever be! The question is, will you be able to keep up with how fast I'll be knocking these guys out?
>There's a challenge in there, and judging from the way Abris was waggling his eyebrows at her, there was flirting in there as well. Or rather, what the idiot THOUGHT was flirting.
>>41227187 >Shade rolls their eyes from within the cloak. Ugh, his overconfidence was getting annoying. Hopefully it won't get in the way of the mission. >The red head responds with a bit of a blush at his concordance and eyebrow wiggling.
Sure to keep up, can't let you take entire fun can I?
>Lei, unlike Shade, found it cute when Abris acted like that, like a puppy trying to act like a tough full grown guard dog... A guard puppy, that what he was. Then again, she always had a thing for these kinds of men. Which brought back memories of him back into her mind, but as this was mission time she learned how to quickly cast those thoughts aside to focus.
Here, you both take these.
>She hands Abris and Shade each a head set connected to a rectangular box the size of a soup can that was stored inside a cloth pouch that with a strap that was meant to be attached to one's belt.
Radios, use to keep in touch. I keep eyes open for trouble heading your ways.
>Shade looks down at the head set offered to them. Well, they would have to put it on... that meant taking the cloak off.
Neither of you speak a word of what you see under this cloak.
>With that, Shade takes off their hood... >Continued.
>As the hood is pulled away, the image of pale sink that wasn't hidden away begins to waver and dissipate, like ripples in a still pond, giving away to a far darker tone of skin and a fuller set of lips. The further the cloth is pulled back, the more stunning the image of who was under it. Long white hair, striking amber eyes, and two pointed ears that twitch as the hood passes over them.
It's bad for business to have a face. Only a trusted few within the Basilisks know it and have sworn to never speak of it, I'd have you both do the same but we're strapped for time, so I'll have to just invest trust in you both instead.
>It was something of an unnerving experience for the Elfen woman, she was far too use to keeping her identity secret. Perhaps too much. Well, regardless, she quickly places the headset on her head, doing what she could to adjust it to her non-human ears. After that, she attaches the rest of the device to her clothes within the her cloak.
>Lei was surprised to see their snake guild companion was an elf. Not many of those wandering around that's for sure.
Won't speak a word.
>She knew about agents that liked to keep a low profile. To see and not be seen was their golden rule and, as a sniper, she respected that.
>Abris straps the headset over his wet green hair, tapping at it absent mindedly.
Radios huh? We've got these with the Guard, but they're only handed out when we do full scale mobilisations.
>He's about to go on about some Guard shenanigans or whatever when he's completely stopped by the sight of Shade's actual face. Whoa. For a start, she hid her voice very well, for a second, she hid her...rest of her very well too. That rumour about there being no men in the Basilisks must be true after all.
>Abris gapes at her for a few more seconds, before clearing his throat and attempting to look professional.
>>41227244 >Watching Abris' reaction, Lei got the feeling he didn't get to talk about pretty girls all that often. Which was odd, there had to be women like her and Shade in the Guard right...? Well maybe their uniforms hid their figures decently enough.
Good, with that out of the way...
>As she pulls her hood back over her head, Shade's silky feminine voice becomes slightly rough and ambiguous, her brown flesh becomes pale and full lips turn thin once more. That was some well crafted illusion she had going at all times.
Let's get into position. Officer Phinn, take your place near the front gate. We'll wait for Lei to scale the tower and get into position before we begin.
I'll set charges on way back down. Be safer that way.
>If someone managed it, setting off the explosions while she was still in the tower... would be a bad thing for sure. >With a nod, Shade takes steps forward to part with the group.
Let's mobilize then.
>With those words still lingering in the air, the cloaked elf melts into the shadows as if she was a ghost leaving Lei and Abris to do their parts.
>Abris draws the wooden sword, the open mouth switching into an all business expression. This was it. All joking aside, now's the time to act. If he didn't, the lives of a lot of innocent civilians were about to get worse because of him.
>He makes his way over to his position, worry setting in once more. He couldn't mess this up. He couldn't be the reason that injustice was done. Abris holds the wooden sword straight up, parallel to his face as he closed his eyes and muttered under his breath.
May my blade strike true and just.
>And with that short prayer out of the way, he steels himself for the coming battle.

>>41227302 >>41227308 >>41227319 >It took some doing, but Lie was able to move her way into the Tower when the guards weren't looking. Other then them the tower looked clear so she turns back to the door and reaches into her bag. Closing the door so it was only slightly ajar, the sniper tapes a bomb to the door frame hidden from sight to those entering the door and winds fishing line to the door nob. Anyone trying to get in once the fighting started would be in for a surprise.
>With that done she makes her way up the tower and takes note of the supporting structures on the way up.
>>41227301 >>41227298 >Abris on the other hand didn't have the same luck as sniper. >As he makes his way to the front gate, two patrolling thugs catch sight of him and call him out. There wasn't suppose to be any guards around here, what the hell was he doing around?
Oi! You! What'er ya doing slinking about?
>One of them was brandishing a simple steel pipe for a makeshift club while the other had a studded leather wrappings around his fist. Not exactly real weapons, but they probably knew how to use them.
He looks like one of them guards...
No shit you ingrate! But what is he doing here?
>The two approach Abris ready to grill him for being being on there turf.
>>41227302 >Shade hears the commotion over Abris' mic and curses under her breath. They weren't entirely ready yet, but this wasn't devastating to the plan just yet.
>Busted! Now there was something you didn't expect to say in law enforcement. Abris freezes and looks back over to the two thugs currently accosting him. Man, he was trying his best to be stealthy that time! Next time, he was just going to scream and hit people.
>Panicking, Abris hears the sounds of Shade asking him for a distraction. The mind of the guard whirls, trying desperately to think of something, ANYTHING to operate as a distraction.
>He draws up to his full height and points an accusing finger at the two thugs
Guard? I think YOU two are the guards around here! I mean, just look at yourselves. What possible kind of person would be patrolling around if they WEREN'T guards?!
