>Sitting heavily down on a fallen log, the princess, having kept up a brisk pace the entire ten miles, and no worse for wear but being a bit winded and sore, turns back to face her companions. You know, she probably should have checked on them before now. She'd relied entirely on the sounds of more than one footfall to make sure they were even still behind her.
>She'd really have to work on perhaps getting a horse for herself and any companions. Maybe a small cart if it was a draught horse? Yes, that'd work. Though perhaps a lighter one, maybe a sporting horse...?

I'm fine~
>Olivia was use to these kinds of excursions out into the wilderness, usually in the middle of the night rather then the day so at least there was nice sunny day on top of that. >Which mean she got to stay hydrated~! >Going through her second bottle of water on the trip, she happily takes a sip of a water and splashes a little bit on her face to keep cool.

>>41151127 >>41151318 >Like Olivia, Sansa also looked like she was keeping up just as fine, albeit the soles of her feet started to feel somewhat sore, but now that they've sat down and rested she could let out a sigh of relief.
>Unlike Olivia, however, she did not feel the need to waste water resources just to cool down. She knew that Olivia had a thing for water, but perhaps that was a little much, even for her. Thus, she scooted away from Olivia's implied splash zone lest Sansa ends up drowning on land.
I am doing just as well myself! However, we've walked a long way, and there is still no sign of our man in shining iron. One would think it'd be easy to spot someone like that out here.
>She then mindlessly pulled out what looked like a pitch black key from out of her pocket and twirled it around in her hands. It was one thing to rest, but to sit around awkwardly in silence was beyond terrible.
Perhaps he's preying on one of us as we speak? Though, who would he go for, I wonder..
>Just as the last of her words trailed off, she turned her head and looked over at Olivia with a teasing grin on her face. It was as if she had something planned for her if things went south.

>>41151318 >This woman was...
>Did everything she said have to make her sound like one of those upper class arm-candies? The sort the Captain of the Guard would bring to royal dinners by the armful?
>She knew there was more to her, but it certainly made her seem eccentric.
>>41151421 >Already bored?
>She knew what it was like to be bored, yes, but that was generally from days or weeks of nothing, not a few hours of walking and sitting still for a few minutes!
>It certainly made her feel better about herself!
Right.
>Removing the folded-up poster from her bag, the young woman examines it more closely, a bit unhappy about the vagueness of its directions. It could have at least given them more to go on, considering how many people had already failed.
>But maybe those people were grumpy about it, and wanted those better than them to fail as well, to seem like they weren't such failures. Whatever the case, there wasn't enough to go on. They'd have to figure the rest out themselves.
We should probably take a look around.
>Staring off into the woods, which from this point on began to thicken and twist, the perfect place for a bandit to hide, the girl furrows her brow. They were in there somewhere, and not far from this very road.
They might be around here, or anywhere from this point to a few more miles down the road.

>>41154652 >That look Sansa was giving her was certainly not something she enjoyed having fixated on her.
Exactly what do you mean by that Sansa?
>The implications of her words didn't exactly leave much to the imagination. How horrid to think of what he'd do if he caught one of them. They'll just have to make sure that doesn't happen.
>>41154652 >Once again their new recruit was taking charge. Quite good of her to do so, it showed she took this line of work seriously and wasn't going to be reckless. That in mind, her suggestion to look around was a sound idea.
It has been a while, yes. Hopefully we can find something to give us better direction...
>Gone was giddy girl, replaced by a more serious mage who knew danger could be very close now as she followed Aerin into the woods looking for signs of activity in the area.

>She waved away Olivia's question rather carelessly aside a sing-song voice
Noooothing~
>>41154652 >>41154715 >But their break had been cut short now that Aerin was already up and entering the forest behind them. Olivia had also followed her as well, leaving Sansa to sit and ponder this situation.
>The forest, while is the perfect place to hide, is not the perfect place for how Sansa fights. With so many trees in the way, her weapon would only get caught in tree trunks, leaving her open to an attack. She also doubts she'd want to start a forest fire as well. But she can't stay waiting there forever for them, so, reluctantly, she gets up as well and follows closely behind the hydrophile.
I'm trusting you to protect me, Olivia! You know how troublesome it is for me in forests like these.
>Like the other two, she looked around her surroundings for any sign of life that's not the animals hiding among the trees.

>>41154880 >Four hours. It was four straight hours of them looking around this neck of the woods for what's meant to be a clue to that iron bandit of theirs. Sansa had to wonder if their target had already up and moved two towns ahead of them during all their searching. While the other two members of her group continue searching, she decided she needed to have a mental break and sat down under one of the many trees in the forest, one that still had a view of both Aerin and Olivia.
>She watched as the other two worked hard while she sat, stretching her limbs and her body due to hunching over all the time. She had to wonder what made this "Iron Bandit" have such a high rank. Was he really that dangerous a person? Would their iron protect the person inside from her blade? Considering she was within several feet of the trees around her, there's a chance he could come out of their encounter alive if they were still in the forest.
>She sighs knowing that she won't be of much use in a place like this and places her hands down onto the ground. However, her right hand felt something strange. She looked down to see that what her hand covered was a small iron locket on the floor. Perhaps.. the Iron Bandit did come through this area. He must have dropped one this stolen good while he was resting in this exact spot.
>She opened the locket to find. of course, a small picture inside of it. However, she could barely make out who it was in said picture. It looked old and barely torn, it's a wonder why whoever owned this still kept it until now. She had to tell the others about her findings. Who knows, maybe one of them has the nose of a dog.
Heeey! I found a clue!
>As she yelled out to the other two, she raised the locket as high as her arm length is into the air.

>>41160855 >Bored.
>Bored bored bored.
>She hated this. At least on the way here, she'd had the running to focus on, but for the past four hours, she'd been locked inside her own head with her own thoughts and she hated it.
Eh?
>At least now, maybe, there'd be some talking! At least for awhile!
