An archive of Location Names and Descriptions from the old board setup.
TERMINA
Empyrean
Capital of Termina, this sprawling city spans for miles and is a grand hub of business, trade and an incredibly lucrative crystal mining area, as well as housing some of the most prestigious Mage Academies in Heveron. It is also home to the Grand Cathedral of the Holy Flame, which worships the Justicar and those who sent her from the beyond.
The Outroads
Many roads lead away from Empyrean, but it is the ones that head to the south that many call the Outroads. Leading down towards the southern kingdom of Alaestus, these long paved paths and railways weave through the countryside between the various towns and villages dotted through Termina, yet their popularity as trade routes also increase the likelihood of banditry in the wilds...
Mount Turin (Escheim)
Located to the west of both Termina and Alaestus is the grand Mount Turin. By far the largest of the three western mountains that seem to jut up from the ground, the peaks reach greater heights than even the eastern mountains dare climb, and thus a great many creatures live both upon and around them.
Escharom
Beneath the great mountain of Escheim lies the largest known dwarven city in all of Heveron, running deep into the earth and with ancient carved out caverns spanning for miles. It is rumoured that a great deal of history can be found beneath the surface, and Escharom is no exception.
Camlach Valley
A valley of Terminan mountains that lead into the Western Maw, it is a path often not travelled. Those who do often come upon creatures usually native to Astrolia, but may also come across those that will defend them until their dying breath. In a single monastery, hidden deep in the valley, the Cassiline Brotherhood's ancient home resides.
Monteras
The Port City of Monteras is best known for its trading connections to Empyrean, but also its close relations with the Cassiline Brotherhood in the nearby Camlach Valley. Religious tensions with the Church of the Holy Flame often cause the city to give off an unstable, dangerous aura.
Kingsmeet
Once a small town where three great leaders convened for peace, such an event has long since passed, yet the town holds on to the memory. Now one of the largest trading hubs in Heveron, Kingsmeet is known for its variety of people and their reckless abandon, where gold takes priority over any national pride and the lawless might find a home.
ALAESTUS
Lake Kant
The central and largest lake in Alaestus, named after the infamous Terminan rebel and eventual founder of the new kingdom, Lord Damien Kant. Beneath the surface lies a number of underwater pathways and roads that eventually lead to the Capital of Kantarus, but there are also curious creatures that reside in the water.
Kantarus
A construction marvel of centuries' past, the underwater city of Kantarus is said to rival, if not exceed the beauty of Empyrean's skyline. Residing in the depths of Lake Kant, the city itself can be found brightly lit by crystal lights, shining like a beacon in the murky deep.
ASTROLIA
The Western Maw
A large collection of mountains, rocky pillars and slopes, the Maw is, though beautiful, a dangerous and wild place which few call home. Many explanations surround the name; whether it is the lower jaw of an ancient god or not is up for debate, but the ancient drakes that call the rocky crags home are very real, and often hungry.
Astrolon
Even in the depths of the Maw, there is still an untouched haven amidst the clouds. The capital city of Astrolia, Kingdom of Lightning, is the sole large point of civilisation among the mountainous area. Rich with resources from its location, it helps to supply the smaller and much more vulnerable villages hidden in the Maw, all whilst doing battle with the natural residents of the land itself.
OUTER HEVERON
The Ruby Isle
A volcanic island off the shore of Termina; its the unstable geopolitical situation see's it embroiled in a pitched civil war facing off the local inhabitants against a swarm of Terminan sponsored sky pirates in a bid to control the island's vast mineral wealth.
The Wastelands
A vast desert to the west of Astrolia, few have crossed this land to the place which lies beyond. Many dangers lurk here in the lands beyond the mountains, but rich treasures also lie in wait for those willing to seek them out.
The Outer Wilds
Beyond the borders of Alaestus and Astrolia, far to the south of Heveron, exists a vast wilderness of strange creatures and plant life. Some say that this is the true home of the elves, but those who have ventured into such a place know better than to call it merely that.
Avash'Haran
This city, hidden in the woodlands far to the south, contains the best and brightest of elven culture, and is also their most notable piece of civilisation. No other permanent elven settlement comes close to its size or beauty, yet it is also far older. The Druidic Convergence happens here every three years, and it is also the home to their order
